Service Club Mission Statement

The service learning program at Longfellow Elementary, also known as WAVE, strives to connect students with the greater community.

We teach our students civic responsibilities and integrate meaningful projects so they become aware that their actions can make a difference locally and on a global scale.

Service learning includes student leadership, while also learning more about geography, culture, math, and/or science. In the end, our students realize that it only takes one act of kindness to start a ripple. “Little ripples make big waves!”

Our goal is to take on the current needs of today so our students can become change agents for tomorrow.
